A community-serving organization began exploring a multi-phase land acquisition and redevelopment opportunity with long-term implications for its mission and growth. The work carried both strategic promise and significant complexity.
The process required coordination among consultants, internal leadership, technical experts, and community stakeholders — each operating with different priorities, timelines, and expectations. In a landscape shaped by evolving information and high stakes, clarity and alignment were essential.
I served as the staff lead, coordinating communication across partners, translating technical insights into accessible guidance, and preparing leadership for key decision points. As the project unfolded, I developed working fluency in commercial real estate considerations to better bridge technical expertise with relational and mission-driven conversations.
Through this work, the organization strengthened its understanding of potential real estate strategies, clarified its development readiness, and aligned long-term mission priorities with market realities.
